Caspians - Security Host
SUMMARY:
The Security Host is responsible for safeguarding company property, maintaining the safety and compliance of guests and employees, providing crowd control, and diffusing potentially hostile situations while providing superior guest service. All duties and assignments are to be performed according to departmental and Clique Hospitality company policy and procedures.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
To include but not limited to:
• Responsible for monitoring large crowds in a nightlife environment.
• Responsible for monitoring and patrolling assigned areas to ensure a safe environment for all guests and team members.
• Enforce safety policies and procedures in their area of responsibility to ensure a safe environment for all guests and team members.
• Standing post to monitor and observe persons and activities on property to ensure compliance with applicable laws, hotel regulations, and company policy.
• Minimize opportunities for loss or damage, anticipating potential problems, responding to incidents and prohibited conduct.
• Respond to emergency situations as needed.
• Be observant of criminal activities, advising management, hotel security, and/or local law enforcement.
• Work and communicate clearly with staff in multiple departments and/or agencies.
• Troubleshoot potential problems, seeking resolution discreetly and professionally.
• Flexibility to perform other jo-related tasks as deemed necessary by management.
• Safeguard company property.
• Report incidents to management and attempt to de-escalate incidents involving threats or acts of violence against either guests or employees.
• Enforce health and safety guidelines in accordance with local and state mandates, as well as Clique Hospitality guidelines.
• Restrict access to areas prohibited to guests
• Efficiently provide first aid and assist injured guests and employees when necessary.
• Maintain current knowledge of authorities and emergency contacts in the event of specific situations.
• Attend mandatory security training and meetings.
• Follow proper and professional radio communication.
• Escort guests and/or employees out of the venue as needed.
• Maintain level of readiness and response to team member injuries including but not limited to paperwork, applicable first aid, and proper documentation.
• Provide detailed Incident Reports whenever issues arise with guests or employees.
• Report safety concerns as they arise.
• Conform to the department grooming standards, uniform or attire, and jewelry policy.
• Always be positive, show enthusiasm, be humble, be thankful, and be respectful to all team members.
• Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Ability to work as part of a team in a high stress & a high-volume environment.
• Demonstrate experience and ability to work in a dynamic environment that includes frequent change.
• Ability to communicate in English with guests and team members; bi-lingual is a plus.
• Ability to read and write in English proficiently.
• Ability to use proper and professional radio communication.
• Possession or ability to possess required Non-Gaming Work Card, Alcohol Awareness Card, Health Card, Gaming, CPR, etc.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain any licensing or active work cards required, at present or in the future, for this position always.
• Must be able to work all shifts; to include Day, Swing, and Grave shift.
• Minimum three years in the hotel/casino/nightclub industry/luxury lounge preferred, but not required.
• Physically able to lift and carry at least 50lbs on a tray or arm service where it applies.
• Physically able to walk or stand without assistance on various surfaces for an extended period.
• Professionally groomed in a manner consistent with department grooming standards.
• Must have oral and written English language skills.
• Must be 21 years of age.
